Komics is a Open Source application that can be used to download, view and archive daily comic scripts. It is written in Perl. Komics has a simple and easy to use User Interface designed using Perl-Tk. Currently, it works on Windows and Linux environments. Binaries (stand-alone executables) for both Windows and Linux are available here.
Whenever it is run, it downloads the comics list that is available at that time from here. This list is automatically updated once every 6 hours. After getting the list, it then downloads the comics that have been chosen to download. Komics uses the functionalities provided by LWP to download files from the internet. The downloaded comics can then be viewed. Also, depending on the settings, the older comics that were downloaded are either archived or overwritten.
